Due to the COVID-19 pandemic and movement away from the traditional school schedule, The Salvation Army has looked at what it means to “meet human needs”, a goal that comes directly from our mission statement, and believes that a child care program for the 2020-21 academic year is part of supporting this mission. For many students, school plays an important role in making this happen, but with reduced hours in the school building a gap emerges that the Kroc Center can step in to fill.
We serve Kindergarten-8th graders & their families.
We provide a safe place, academic support for online classwork, and fun and learning-based games and activities
Families can enroll for care based on their child care needs and school schedule. The following levels of care are available:
Program fees will be paid monthly based on enrollment. Daily costs are:
Part Time Full Time
$100 deposit applied to January 2021 program fees
We have learned over the last several years that many of the families we serve are eligible for vouchers because the adults in the household are working or going to school at least 30 hours per week. These can be applied towards program fees as demonstrated below:
Voucher covers $14.38
+ Family Pays $2.50
= Total $16.88
Voucher covers $28.76
+ Family Pays $5.00
= Total $33.76
A staff member will follow up via email with additional documentation that is needed
Once you have submitted all required documentation, you will receive a start date and directions to create an account to set up your payments. Payments can also be done over the phone.
